ObjectNow does not retain personal data beyond the immediate purpose of submission, except where required for lawful obligations, security monitoring, or campaign group analysis.

Temporarily Collected Data (Deleted After Submission)

  • Title and Full Name: Used to personalise the objection letter.
  • Postal Address: Required for formal submission to relevant authorities.
  • Email Address: Used to facilitate submission and confirm delivery.
  • Personal Comments: If provided, integrated into the generated objection letter.

This data is permanently deleted from our servers immediately after successful submission, and is not retained, shared, or stored beyond that purpose.

Data Retained for Campaign Analysis

  • Postcode: Used anonymously by the campaign group to assess geographic engagement and outreach effectiveness. No personal identifiers are attached.

Data Retained for Legal and Security Obligations

  • IP Address: Stored to detect fraudulent or unauthorised activity and to comply with law enforcement requests, if required.
  • Browser Type: Collected for compatibility monitoring, fraud detection, and system security analysis.

2. Data Retention and Deletion

ObjectNow adopts a strict data minimisation approach. All personal data (excluding IP address and browser type) is permanently deleted immediately following the submission of an objection letter. IP address and browser information are retained only for as long as necessary to comply with legal obligations and for fraud prevention.

Postcode data, being anonymised and non-identifying, is retained indefinitely by the campaign group for legitimate analysis purposes.


3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data in accordance with Article 6 of the UK GDPR under the following lawful bases:

  • Legitimate Interest: Processing is necessary to generate and submit objection letters in support of democratic participation.
  • Legal Obligation: IP and browser data are retained to ensure compliance with national laws and to assist in the investigation of unlawful use.
